I was very happy to attend the unveiling of the “No Thru Trucks” signs at Walter Drive and Maybank Highway last month. It was a little cold, but thankfully it was dry! This was a big win for the Cedar Springs Subdivision because they had been trying for years to stop the trucks cutting-through their neighborhood.
The neighborhood representatives joined me for the installation of the new signs. I was happy to be there to see the joy on their faces because they had accomplished something they worked on for a long time. I thanked them all for their patience and support as the Public Works staff worked to get this done. Hopefully these signs will make a positive impact on the neighborhoods in this area.
I also want to say a special thank you to staff, Mr. Armand Mule for getting the signs made and expeditiously installed. He did an amazing job and we couldn’t have done it without him!” – Charleston County Council Vice Chairwoman Anna Johnson
